Happy almost Friday, everyone!
In the spirit of Throw Back Thursday, I wanted to take a moment to shine the spotlight on a very special wedding. I often find myself thinking back on all that I have done this year and all that I should credit for my journey into becoming a business owner. Kristen and Joey's wedding always comes to mind.
Their story is a very special one to me for a pretty cool reason - I introduced them! All three of us were attending the University of Georgia together! Kristen was my college roommate and Joey and I were attending English classes together. Long story short, after several years of dating, they got engaged!
Kristen and Joey put a lot of faith in me by letting me plan their wedding. Their wedding was my first solo wedding and it opened up a lot of doors for me regarding what my interests were in the event planning space (floral arrangements are now a huge passion of mine)!
One of the best parts about the days leading up to their wedding was the trip we all took to a local farm in Hendersonville to hand-pick the flowers used for the floral decor. I'm talking buckets and buckets of flowers! It was such a blast acting as farmer and florist for their big day.
The floral decor was very brightly colored - with lots of fiery reds and oranges and pinks. This, coupled with the breezy greenery of their hilltop venue, was a dream to look at once everything was put in place!
Lovers of literature and travel, Kristen and Joey also wanted to incorporate antique books and miniature globes and lanterns into their decor. It gave their centerpieces a studious air that was balanced out with the fun wildflower arrangements.
